Do you want to stop Christmas and the holidays being hijacked?

Learn to deal with difficult festive circumstances and focus on what’s great about Christmas and the holidays!

You're anxious about christmas and the holidays...

I know, I’ve been there… Christmas and the holidays are meant to be full of happiness and cherished family memories. But if you’re one of the many people affected by difficult people or challenging circumstances during the festive season, you’ll know that happiness can seem like a pipe dream.

It could be grief, or another loss like divorce or not having a family of your own. It could be a tough family relationship, or an abusive one. It could be money issues. Or memories of something tough which happened during a previous Christmas time. All of these things can be so hard at a time of year when spending time with family and materialism are emphasised so much.

Your difficult circumstances may have been around for a long time – and each Christmas, you vow that things will be different this time, but somehow they never quite are and you just don’t get the Christmas you wanted… It’s so disappointing, and you’re not sure whether you can cope with another Christmas like that again…

Or you may have had a recent change in your situation which you fear will taint the holidays. You’re not sure how they can go well, or what that could even look like in this new world…

But you feel compelled to carry on with the festivities, because that’s just what’s expected of us, right?

I want this to be different for you, so you can take back control of your Christmas experience!

You know, we can’t control other people or what happens to us, much though we might wish we could…

…but we DO have the power to decide how best to handle these things. This is truly a superpower, and one I’d really love to help you embrace!

I’m not going to lie and say this is necessarily easy, but I want to empower you to minimise the bad stuff and maximise your joy in the beautiful stuff of Christmas and the holidays.

Hello, Alexandra here!

I'm an Author, Musician, and Certified Life Coach with particular training in trauma informed work, grief and loss, and emotional freedom techniques (EFT tapping). I live in the North West Highlands of Scotland with my husband Simon, where we love exploring the hills.

On the face of it, I had the dream life, with a successful career in the civil service and charitable sector in the heart of London for 15 years. But underneath the surface I was profoundly unhappy and unwell. I was living through a lot of life storms, including obsessive compulsive disorder, chronic insomnia, and an emotionally abusive and alcoholic father.

I had a troubling problem with Christmas, since this used to be a particular flashpoint for difficult family issues. I have published my first book, Reclaiming Christmas, in which I tell the story of how I rekindled my love for this special time of year which had become so sullied by these family experiences.

I recognise that we will face tough stuff in life, but I don’t believe it has to – or should – have the last word. I am passionate about helping others to reclaim their love and joy in Christmas, after it has been spoiled by a life storm.

Over the years, I learned how to manage various Christmas difficulties, and that is why I have created Your Christmas Emergency Toolkit.

Introducing Your Christmas Emergency Toolkit!

I’ve designed this online course to support you to design your very own Christmas Emergency Toolkit. This toolkit will better equip you to deal with your particular challenges during the upcoming festive season, and to make the most of the positive aspects of Christmas and the holidays!

In this online course, my five-step model will help you to:

Identify what you really care about this Christmas time

Get clear on the issues you're facing

Put together and implement your tailored Christmas Emergency Toolkit

What you'll get in this course:

  • Bite-sized videos guiding you through the five-step model

  • A beautiful workbook to help you work through the five steps for your situation

  • Guided practice with some key techniques for your toolkit

How to know if this is for you

This course is for you if:

  • You want to make the very best of Christmas and the holidays despite difficult circumstances

  • You’re ready to take proactive steps to do this

This course isn't so helpful for you if:

  • You think Christmas isn’t for you this year, for example if you have had a recent bereavement - this is totally fine, sometimes we just need to take a break

  • You honestly don’t yet believe that change is possible in your situation – this is totally understandable, but this perhaps also indicates that you would benefit from talking to your doctor or mental health professional

Got more questions?

But will this really help me in my situation?

I know that some situations we face are really difficult, and I don’t believe in making wild promises. But this process will help you work through what the issue is and what’s in your control in your situation. This will help you minimise the difficulties and maximise your joy in the festive season!

How long do I have to do this course?

You’ll get the course materials straightaway, and you’ll have lifetime access!

Will I have time to see benefits in my busy life?

I’m so aware how busy we all are in this crazy world. I’ve broken this course down into bite-sized chunks, so you can build your toolkit efficiently. You’ll need to be able to devote a bit of regular time to practising the tools in your toolkit before Christmas arrives, so you can deploy them well during actual Christmas situations.
