Hello, I'm Alexandra!

I’m an Author, Musician and Certified Life Coach with particular training in trauma informed work, grief and loss, and emotional freedom techniques (EFT tapping).

I’ve been through more storms than I care to remember. PTSD from a traumatic stay in hospital as a teenager. Devastating long-term insomnia. Two forms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Chronic anxiety that just seemed to get worse over time. Losing my mother too soon to cancer. Very tough work situations. An emotionally abusive and alcoholic father.

That’s a lot of storms for one person. Thin slivers of hope that there had to be a light at the end of this tunnel kept me going. True, the storms left me feeling battered and bruised – but, over time, I also developed a stronger and stronger sense of my true self.

I began to notice a pattern in how we can grow, even after we’ve experienced such devastation. I built my sense of inner calm and confidence, and began to discern the true calling on my life. I gave up my successful London career, trained up in coaching and counselling skills, and built Damsel Not In Distress, a company designed to empower others through their life storms, from the ground up.

So here I am, wanting to help you achieve the same peace and purpose that I’ve discovered. As a result of everything I’ve learned and discovered on my life journey about how we can find our true voice even after the storm, I’ve designed my new group coaching programme, aptly named Sing After The Storm!

find your voice in the wake of the storm, discover your life’s song & sing it with gusto!

This is a holistic programme underpinned by my SING framework. While everyone’s storm and their journey through it are unique, this framework captures the common steps and themes which emerge: Storm – Ignition – Nerve – Genius.

Weekly group teaching

You'll get structured teaching each week, covering a suite of topics and techniques to enable you to:
o Build up your wellbeing toolbox, which is tailored to your needs

o Focus on your mind, your emotions, your body, and your spirit

o Build your sense of calm, confidence and calling

You'll have plenty of opportunities to explore and ask questions, and there will be also be workbooks to guide you through key topics. These topics are likely to include countering limiting beliefs, navigating tough emotions, nurturing your body to nurture your mind, and tapping into your intuition - as well as the art of goal setting and changing habits!

As part of the curriculum, you will get access to my existing courses: The Versatile Guide to Journalling, The No-Nonsense Guide to Affirmations, and Nurture Your Body to Nurture Your Mind. Their combined value when sold separately is £99 or $127!

Targeted 1:1 support

A key aim of this programme is to provide you with effective support to emerge from your storm, without the higher price tag of 1:1 coaching. However, we believe some targeted 1:1 support is invaluable.

This is laser coaching! You'll get several opportunities during the programme to interact with me personally through WhatsApp (text messaging and voice notes) - to ask me key questions, and figure out how to deal with whatever is holding you back. In addition, we'll have a monthly live group Q&A session where you can pose questions anonymously if you prefer.

You can also choose to bolt on some 1:1 sessions with me if you'd like further support to reach your goals!

How long is the programme and when does it start?

The programme will run for 12 weeks - we'll start another cohort soon, and the start date will be announced in due course. Don't worry if you're on holiday at any point during the programme - everything will be recorded and available for you to catch up and ask questions when you're ready!

Will I have time to see benefits in my busy life?

I’m so aware how busy we all are in this crazy world – so I’m realistic and I show you how you can put together and implement your personalised Wellbeing Toolbox in a way that works for you and your life. Being realistic, taking steps to thrive after a life storm will take a good amount of attention and commitment, but we'll make it as manageable as possible!

What training and expertise do you have to run this programme?

I’m an Accredited Member of the ACCPH, with a Level 5 Diploma in Nutrition, Health and Wellness Coaching with Well College Global – as well as certifications as a Women’s Health and Wellness Coach and Holistic Coach. I hold a somatic trauma-informed coaching certification from the School of Trauma Informed Positive Psychology, accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I have completed Level 1 and Level 2 training in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT tapping), and am a Certified Grief Educator, having completed renowned grief expert David Kessler's certificate programme.

We'll have a Facebook group, with a teaching and a Q&A session each month. It'll be £10 a month, cancel anytime.
