Hi there, I’m Alexandra Walker, founder of Damsel Not In Distress.

Have you been through a life storm? Are you now feeling lost, disoriented and disconnected? Do you find that, as you reach for what feels familiar to steady you, you’re left feeling dissatisfied and empty?

I have navigated many tough life storms, such as abuse, serious illness, and grief and whilst I know that everyone’s storm and journey through life are unique - there are common elements to the path that people walk after their storms.

Perhaps you’ve been left with a deep yearning for something more, something satisfying, that will bring you greater meaning and purpose.

If so, then the good news is that deep yearning is a sign that you’re ready to step into your calling! I and many other souls are living proof that this is possible.

I’ve created a FREE guide for you to discover exactly how to Sing after the Storm.

Hello, Alexandra here!

I’m an Author, Musician and Certified Life Coach with particular training in trauma informed work, grief and loss, and emotional freedom techniques (EFT tapping).

I’ve been through more storms than I care to remember. PTSD from a traumatic stay in hospital as a teenager. Devastating long-term insomnia. Two forms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Chronic anxiety that just seemed to get worse over time. Losing my mother too soon to cancer. Very tough work situations. An emotionally abusive and alcoholic father.

That’s a lot of storms for one person. Thin slivers of hope that there had to be a light at the end of this tunnel kept me going. True, the storms left me feeling battered and bruised – but, over time, I also developed a stronger and stronger sense of my true self.

I began to notice a pattern in how we can grow, even after we’ve experienced such devastation. I built my sense of inner calm and confidence, and began to discern the true calling on my life. I gave up my successful London career, trained up in coaching and counselling skills, and built Damsel Not In Distress, a company designed to empower others through their life storms, from the ground up.

So here I am, wanting to help you achieve the same peace and purpose that I’ve discovered.

As a result of everything I’ve learned and discovered on my life journey about how we can find our true voice even after the storm, I’ve created my framework, Sing After The Storm!
