Leadership responsibilities don't go away when life happens...

...and yet navigating life storms as a leader isn't a topic we often talk about.

Life storms make leading well so much harder. These storms appear more often than we like to think, and they come in many shapes and sizes - grief, illness, divorce, parental challenges, abusive relationships...the list goes on.

As a former senior civil servant and charity COO, I know what it is to lead through life storms.

Harnessing my extensive training and personal experiences, I specialise in helping leaders learn the skills to navigate their storms, while continuing to show up effectively at work.

It takes time and courage to navigate a life storm - but there are treasures at the other side. Leaders who get there cultivate more passion, wisdom, empathy and resilience.

Supporting leaders to weather life storms...together

I offer team coaching packages, so that leaders and teams can learn about how life storms impact us & build the skills needed to navigate storms and help others to do so.

This involves more than trying a few sporadic wellbeing techniques. We need to deploy an intentional, strategic and evidence-based approach.

I believe that, whilst some leaders have formal management and leadership responsibilities, there are leaders at all levels of organisations. Anyone who draws others together to achieve something worthwhile is a leader in my book!

I can tailor the coaching package as required, including some or all of the following:

On-demand summit access

The Leading Through Life Storms summit includes 30 bite-sized presentations from a range of speakers, exploring how life storms can impact leaders and offering actionable strategies to keep leading effectively.

Group coaching for the team

We will together unpack key summit themes to gain a comprehensive overview of how leaders can handle tough life situations and build a supportive culture for everyone in the organisation - and agree next steps to implement positive change.

Individual coaching

Given the sensitive nature of life storms, there may well be topics which individuals need to explore in a 1:1 setting - for example, if they are navigating a storm themselves, or if they manage a team member facing this situation.

Summit speakers include...

Dame Clare Moriarty

CEO at Citizens Advice & former Permanent Secretary

2019 - a year like no other

Hetti Barkworth-Nanton CBE
